Great Western Brewing Company (GWBC) and National Slo-Pitch Athletics Enterprises Canada Inc. (NSA)

In a joint statement both entities are excited to announce a Five-year sponsorship and working agreement between two proudly Canadian Companies.

Calgary AB, May 19th, 2022]. (GWBC), an Independent Brewing Company Headquartered in Saskatoon SK and (NSA), Canada’s Fastest Growing Slo-Pitch Membership Organization, announced a new sponsorship deal that will see a Five-Year exclusive Beer Provider commitment to NSA, “Built by Players for Players” “GW Light Slo-Pitch” and “The Show Diamond Program”

President and CEO of NSA Canada Terry Sibbick is ecstatic to have GWBC onboard as a fully invested and committed partner to all things Slo-Pitch. “It’s been two long years and we have seen an exodus amongst those in the beverage business specifically in the Adult Recreational Sporting Community. To have joined forces with such an amazing company, who share the same values and commitment to the Slo-Pitch game as we do is an incredible blessing, and we cannot wait to roll up our sleeves and get to work.”

GWBC History: An impending closure spelled the end of an era and the loss of jobs for around 40 employees. That is, until a group of determined and dedicated workers stepped up to the challenge and fought for Saskatchewan’s brewery.

The brewery was built in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1927, operating as the Hub City Brewing Company. The plant became the Western Canada Brewing Company in 1930 and then Drewry’s Limited in 1932.

In 1956, the Brewery was acquired and operated as O’Keefe Brewing until 1989 when an amalgamation between Carling O’Keefe and Molson Brewing Company spelled the end of the brewery.

A group of 16 determined and bold employees stood up, pooled their resources, and formed the Great Western Brewing Company. Now, the Great Western Brewing Company is one of Canada’s most successful regional brewers and an internationally recognized producer of world-class beer.

NSA is the premier slo-pitch membership organization in Canada. Famous for the Men’s / Women’s World Series held annually in Hamilton ON and the Coed World Series held annually in Kamloops BC, NSA has become the go to organization for league play and affiliation as well as providing membership and insurance platforms for several thousand tournaments held annually across Canada.
