Paul has been a leader with Special Olympics Ottawa since 2012 and Head Coach since 2015. His dedication has built an incredible, inclusive program supporting hundreds of athletes and their families.

From teaching fundamentals to guiding full competition, Paul meets every athlete where they’re at — helping them grow in confidence, skills, and community. His partnership with the Quyon softball community has created an annual tournament that raises awareness, funds, and unforgettable experiences for athletes.

Paul is known for celebrating every individual, recognizing achievements, and building a true family environment on and off the diamond.

We’re proud to honour Paul Blackmore as our 2025 Volunteer of the Year — a leader, mentor, and champion for inclusion.
