NSA Canada Slo-Pitch 2022 Year in Review

What a year “Built by Players for Players” Nation!!

Our 2022 NSA Canada Slo-Pitch season is soon ending and its time to celebrate you and all things NSA Community. We shattered records for participation in leagues and tournaments during the 2022 season. The Men’s and Women’s World Series, The Ontario Coed and Men’s and Women’s Provincials, Saskatchewan Men’s and Women’s Provincials and unprecedented participation in SPFA, fundraisers and helping up events across the country. The Coed World Series returned, and we are so grateful to have a partner like Tournament Capital Ranch and the City of Kamloops. League play and membership soared to new heights in 2022 and blew our national market share target of 58% away with significant growth in BC, ON, SK, and Northern AB. Thank you to all directors, conveners, volunteer’s. To those in the Maritimes and Quebec who invested countless hours in preparation for the 2023 season well done and the fruits of your labour are going to explode on the marketplace as we turn the calendar.

Players, Coaches we have received incredible feedback regarding our league and tournament programs, we will continue to focus on suggestions and challenge ourselves moving forward to ensure all feedback is considered and addressed. We thank you for the overwhelmingly positive response to the changes to our programs in 2022.  Recommendations for certain rule changes and frustrations that can easily be remedied will be reviewed by our Provincial Directors, Head Office, and our National Umpires Association. In collaboration we will address all suggestions, comments and do what is in the best interest of the NSA Slo-Pitch Community.

As we push forward and prepare for the upcoming Indoor World Series, Dome World Series Events and all things Dome and Sno-Pitch we are proud to let you know we are already working on expansion of our Provincial Championship Events and are exploring new ideas regarding series events and the World Series Qualifying Program. With this comes the critical internal piece of ranking reviews and updating our Player Classification System.
