For 17 years, Bucky has been behind the plate and across Canada helping grow the game. His impact goes far beyond calling balls and strikes — he develops new officials, supports their growth, and leads with positivity and passion.

He played a major role in rule development, including the now-famous guideline:
“The ball must be 1–2 Bucky’s high!”
And yes… everyone knows exactly what that means!

Bucky is respected nationwide because he treats everyone equally, lifts people up, and always shows up with heart — no matter the weather. The game is simply better when Bucky is umpiring.
